Preparing for Childbirth

Prepared Childbirth Education classes are available through Mission St. Joseph's. A number of classes are offered. Pre-registration is required for all classes, so you'll need to register early.

Infant Massage

Gentle Touch for Infants®
Celebrate your baby and a new phase of your life by learning massage. While improving your baby's health and well being, you will meet and share with other parents. Several benefits of infant massage include relief from colic, gas, constipation and discomforts; increased bonding and attachment; and relaxation for both parents and baby. Also learn how to understand your baby's language and learn more about parenting, child development and brain stimulation.

Class Format
Each class includes four sessions held on Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Fee
Fee for the class is $75, which is due at the first session. Medicaid pays for some classes, and scholarships may be obtained.

Instructor
Emma Miller, D.Div, teaches the infant massage classes. She is a certified Infant Massage Instructor and a North Carolina infant, toddler, and family specialist.
