Whether it is a routine screening mammogram or a complex investigation of a breast lump, the doctors and staff are personally committed to making the process as comfortable as possible. We are able to have the films immediately available to the doctors in the practice as you see them for followup. Our center meets and exceeds the standards established by the American College of Radiology. The technical staff are certified in mammography and ultrasound maintaining a high level of performance. We use Siemens radiographic and utlrasound equipment.

Breast Ultrasound
Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to visualize lumps in the breast. It is often used to tell us if a lump is solid or a simple fluid-filled cyst. The technique is sometimes used to guide a needle to the exact spot in the breast where a cyst or lump is located so that a tissue sample can be obtained. Ultrasound does not use X-rays.
