Dr. Mary Katherine Goodwin is our newest doctor, staying in Asheville after completing her residency training at MAHEC in June. She finished her undergraduate studies at UNC Chapel Hill before embarking on a Master's in Medical Geography in Seattle. She then entered the Peace Corps in Niger, West Africa where she realized her true calling in women's health and medicine. After finishing her tour in Niger, she returned to North Carolina to attend Wake Forest Medical School where she earned her Doctor of Medicine in 2003. Dr. Goodwin is Board eligible having recently passed the written exam of the American Board of OB/Gyn. .
