Digital mammography, ultrasound & bone densitometry: Diagnoses & Care.

Our Center offers comprehensive breast healthcare, diagnostic ultrasound, 3D digital mammography (breast tomosynthesis), 3D ultrasound and DXA bone densitometry for osteoporosis.

3D Digital mammography, breast ultrasound & more.

As a woman, you are at risk for breast cancer. The American Cancer Society estimates that one in eight women nationwide will develop breast cancer during her lifetime.

The good news is, when detected early and treated expertly, breast cancer can be cured. Thanks to vastly improved 3D digital imaging technology, early detection of breast cancer and ultrasound-directed breast biopsies are better than ever. The result: We are finding more cancers, finding them earlier and helping to save more lives.

The key to surviving breast cancer is to get effective and appropriate treatment early enough to make a difference. The key to that is early detection. Asheville Women’s Medical Center offers the most advanced 3D mammography available.

Current COVID Vaccination information for Breast imaging

According to the Society of Breast Imaging, if possible and when it does not unduly delay care, consider scheduling screening exams prior to the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination or 4-6 weeks following your final dose of a COVID-19 vaccination, including a booster vaccine.

If you are currently scheduled for screening breast imaging and need to postpone, please contact our office through the secure patient portal or by calling (828) 258-9191 as soon as possible.
