Salena wants to encourage her patients to be empowered and involved in their healthcare.  She wants each patient to know she has really listened to them and desires to be their health advocate.

Salena has three sons and one cat.  She loves being outside jogging or sitting on the couch reading.  She was born and raised in Asheville.  She began her nursing career as an LPN at Asheville Women’s Medical Center in 1999 and is excited to be back now as a Nurse Practitioner.

Who/what inspires you?

I am inspired by all the patients, doctors, and nurses I have been given the pleasure to work with in the past.  Each has a different story, and I feel privileged to be part of their story.

My phone

What would you do if you had 2 free hours?

I would go out jogging in the woods.

Why did you choose to specialize in Ob/Gyn?

I loved my time as a Labor and Delivery nurse

You have to love yourself before you can truly love others.
